Goal


Although most people are familiar with Mozilla’s best known offering, the Firefox browser, far fewer know that it is one of the only tech companies backed by a non-profit: the Mozilla Foundation, an organization on a mission to put people over profit to give everyone more power online. To bring awareness to this work, the brand called on us to create a new piece of content to educate people about what Mozilla really stands for, connect with a like-minded audience, and share the Mozilla mission with the world.




Approach

Mozilla’s mission is unique, so we wanted to create an explainer that was just as unique. Whereas most tech explainers can feel dry or basic, we wanted to breathe new life into the format to create something that felt more like an inspiring short film. With a colorful palette, elevated music and sound design, and a slower, more cinematic pace to let the audience absorb the story, we created a dynamic motion graphic that communicates the brand’s mission in a memorable and meaningful way.
